Autodidacte, héritier du cubisme et longtemps attaché à la figure humaine ainsi qu’à la palette colorée des fauves, Eraldo Buratti a évolué vers une expression non-figurative, tendant au dépouillement afin d’atteindre l’essentiel. Dans l’esprit proche des calligraphes Zen et des peintres Léon Zack, Mark Rothko et Olivier Debré, ses peintures nous entraînent aux confins d’un silence, propice à la méditation. Eraldo Buratti is a self-taught painter, inspired by cubism, who has painted the human figure for many years in exuberant fauvist colours. He subsequently turned to non-representational work, seeking to express the essential through a simplification of forms. His paintings are in a spirit close to Zen calligraphers and to artists such as Léon Zack, Mark Rothko and Olivier Debré, drawing us into the confines of silence and meditation. His canvasses are permeated by a majestic, abstract Loire.
